For the first time in almost 2 years since I was last on this site, as of today, I have finally had the chance to sell one of my hats with faces to a new customer. In this case, the Tam o'Shanter also known as the Scottish hat I jokingly named Angus McHats.
However, due to the economic crisis among some other problems Lebanon has been facing since last year including COVID-19, like everyone else, I was reluctantly forced to augment the original price of $40 to $50 instead because if I didn't, how else would I be able to afford to pay for anything like the rent, the water, the electricity, the food, and so on if I were to survive in the end?
I don't like the idea either and it's not a matter of pride, greed, and robbery, it's a matter of survival until all current situations happening in Lebanon; especially the economic crisis are over forever.
P.S.: Thankfully, I didn't double the original price to $80, otherwise, that would've really been considered like robbery and people wouldn't be able to afford to pay for it. In fact, nobody is able to afford to pay for anything nowadays due to the economic crisis leading to price augmentations and an imbalance between dollars and Lebanese liras. Hopefully, this whole thing will come to an end sooner or later someday. For the time being, all we can do is sit, pray, and hope for the best.
