Hello, my name is Olivier Baghdadi. I've been making clay figurines since I was 18 years old. I was born in Achrafieh, Lebanon on December 2, 1992. I create figurines made out of terracotta clay to introduce the world to new pieces of artwork people have never seen before and sell them. My figurines may be used as decorations for special occasions like Christmas, Easter, First Communions, Valentine's Day, Summer, Fall, and other sorts of seasons and events. Such creations come through 3 basic concepts I call the 3 I's of clay artwork: Ideas, Interests, and Inspirations. Thanks to my older brother, Alexis, I was able to find and use this site.
Since 2012, from Mondays to Thursdays, I have been working as an assistant in a place for physically disabled people called Arcenciel where I distribute command papers to all workshops that specialize in productions for people with disabilities, help physically disabled people (both bosses and employees) by carrying some things for them to take to other workshops or take them to places like their car, the cafeteria, or the Physiotherapy Department in case of emergencies, photocopy papers, and put files and papers in order. On Fridays, I work as an optician's assistant in NASA Optics where I put files and papers in order, arrange lenses and boxes according to brand names or people’s names, help out with the types of lenses, guard the shop when no one is here, stamp lens covers with the owner’s name and status along with the workplace’s name, phone number, email, and address on them, and arrange tools back into their original places. I used to work in a place called Atelier Céramique as a sculptor and potter from 2011 to 2012 where I worked with clay, suggested new ideas, learned how to create pots and dishes with a spinning machine and to glaze certain figurines, and sell my artwork. |
